While you are traveling in an air-conditioned minibus, your experienced guide will share his knowledge of Santorini, giving you a direct overview of the island. You will visit all of Santorini’s favorites.
Visit the famous black beach with crystal blue water on the southeast coast of the island. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and nearby islands. Enjoy an additional fish lunch or at the seaside restaurant.
Then you continue your visit to Emporio village, the largest village on Santorini island. You can look at historic windmills and have superb views of the rest of the island. On the hill above the village, you will find both the ruins of Castel, the fortress of the Byzantine period, and the ruins of Gulas.
Then you will reach the top of the Prophet Elijah, the highest mountain of Santorini, which is located at an altitude of about 2000 feet above sea level. Marvel at the island vistas around you and follow your guide inside the ornate Greek Christian monastery located on the top of the mountain.
Continue with an additional visit to the Venetsanos winery. Learn the secrets of winemaking and enjoy the famous local wines.
On the way to the northern part of Santorini, you will make a short stop in Firostefani to see the famous Blue Dome Church, the subject of many Santorini postcards and the caldera.
You will visit the traditional village of Imerovigli, which is located on a higher cliff. In front of the village is a huge stone called Skaros, which used to be the best place to watch pirates.
Continue through the beautiful countryside of Santorini to the village of Oia. Oia, built on the northern edge of the caldera, is the most photographed place in Santorini and a place where many artists draw inspiration from the beauty of Oia, traditional architecture, and amazing sunset.
Enjoy stunning views of the caldera, where many dwellings are built in the niches of the volcanic rock. You will also have panoramic views of the rest of Santorini and the Aegean Sea.
